The Toys on 365 are playing with song, dance, and music this week. When the dinosaurs heard that, they immediately wanted to do more 'dancing' (spinning round on the turntable!) like the Trachodon and one of the Triceratops Twins did last week. AND they started eyeing the old Columbia Grafonola in the music room.
I had to squash that idea right away. Not only are their actual dancing abilities not up to any decent standard, but the grafonola spins at 78 rpm, significantly faster and more dangerous than the 33 rpm of the regular turntable. So I pointed out to them the fact that, even though the Toys talked about song, music, AND dance, the tag only says "365TOYS-SONGANDMUSIC." NO dance. I suppose there will be all hell to pay if some other 365 toys start dancing this week and they find out about it. Sigh.
So I opened the Grafonola's volume control (that's the louvered doors) to the max and let them stand in there and blast their little ears. Probably an irresponsible thing to do, but if they go deaf, I'll teach them sign language.
They love Nelson Eddy, but we couldn't find their favorite song, "Stouthearted Men" so when I took this picture they had just finished listening to "Halleluia, I'm a Bum" sung by Arthur Fields.

We all agreed that the photo should be processed in sepia for a vintage look. They wanted the musical notes; the fake photo studio in the lower left was all my doing. They thought it was great fun when I showed them, though.
The dinosaurs participating in this shot are (left to right): Mososaurus (way over to the left shadowed by the door), Neanderthal man and Trachodon, Allosaurus, Dimetrdon and Stegosaurus.
Happy song, music, (shhhhh....and dance) week from them and me to all of you.
