As I set out walking downtown last night to participate in the Riley County Fair parade (rode on a wagon with the Riley County Democrats) I didn't get off my own block before spotting this beautiful (but dead) iridescent green beetle being overrun by ants. So I stopped to take pictures, naturally! Tagging for the theme of the week "Critters" and for the current eye of the beholder challenge.
