My get pushed partner, April @aecasey noticed that in one of my photos I was lamenting the fuzziness of the trees on the horizon at dusk. I had originally wanted a better silhouette. So she challenged me to make a silhouette and clued me in to the fact that my camera has a 'sunset' mode. So I went out to what we call the "Kitty Corner" (an entrance to the land my dad and uncle used to own.) We call it the Kitty Corner for Miss Kitty on Gunsmoke, because one time when we were kids we were sitting in the car in that spot, listening to that program on the radio. It was a beautiful evening to be out there, if only to stand there and photograph the sunset. Other photos posted on the next two dates (29th, 30th) and the 30th in my Alternates album.
My apologies ... I had a bad week and didn't get to my challenge. I'm really glad you were able to give this a go though. I love silhouettes and you did such a good job!!!
@randystreat@hjbenson@lynnz@gazzatron@aecasey@aecasey@grammyn Thank you so much for the comments and FAVs. Katy, I owe the non-fuzziness entirely to the "sunset mode" on the camera. What do you know?!? It knew exactly what to do to get the right exposure and allow me to focus on the tree. I don't know why I haven't tried more of those specialized modes before. I'll have to do more playing with them.
