The Kitty Corner at Sunset #2 by mcsiegle

The Kitty Corner at Sunset #2

My get pushed partner, April @aecasey noticed that in one of my photos I was lamenting the fuzziness of the trees on the horizon at dusk. I had originally wanted a better silhouette. So she challenged me to make a silhouette and clued me in to the fact that my camera has a 'sunset' mode. So I went out to what we call the "Kitty Corner" (an entrance to the land my dad and uncle used to own.) We call it the Kitty Corner for Miss Kitty on Gunsmoke, because one time when we were kids we were sitting in the car in that spot, listening to that program on the radio. It was a beautiful evening to be out there, if only to stand there and photograph the sunset. Other photos posted on the 28th, and 30th, and the 30th in my Alternates album.

A nice diagonal line to the silhouette of the tree that is somewhat Mirrors cloud line

I like this too. The clouds and streak of light draw me to the tree. Works well.

@seattlite @ribbet9 @joysabin @gazzatron @grammyn @joansmor Thank you so much for the comments. I thought that diagonal streak of cloud was a neat bonus.
