Golden Reflection by mcsiegle

Golden Reflection

At the Natatorium as our Aqua Aerobics class was coming to an end, I couldn't resist the wonderful reflection of light coming through the large windows. I asked the girl who was instructing to hand me my towel and bag and I first used the phone camera (iPod battery had run down) thinking that the crappier the camera the better for my get pushed challenge of photos inspired by colorfield painters. But then I got out and I just couldn't resist taking a few pictures with the "real" camera. And then I just loved this too much to want to crop it down to a colorfield-inspired image (though I considered it). It was even better "live" and in motion. The golden ripples were magical (to me -- I'm sure they think I'm crazy -- I took a close-up of a bit of the stairs leading into the water a while back and processed it into an image that would have been PERFECT for the colorfield get pushed. Alas, that was already taken outside the time frame and posted in my Alternates album earlier this month.
Beautiful colors and light that would've been perfect for your challenge but is beautiful as it is too.
