My get pushed challenge from Frogger @tdaug80 was to back off from the close shots I’ve been posting lately and take a landscape or other large subject.
@grammyn forgot to tag you in my reply above. A lot of folks around the country have them up on their barns. A woman started the barn quilt thing as a tribute to her mother.
I like this. The landscape is open and wintery and quilt design is a nice surpise as well as a pop of color. Around this area they have the quilts on the barns as well.
@mcsiegle This one is my favorite of your challenge responses. I think the composition could be improved if the horizon line weren't in the middle of the frame. The cloudy sky is kind of uninteresting. Maybe you could crop out a chunk of if to put the horizon about 1/3 of the way from the top.
