Oh my. Always a bit wistful when putting away ornaments. That's why mine are still up. The tree with it's bright colorful lights should chase away some of the gray.
@randystreat@grammyn@aikimomm thanks! Usually we wait until about the epiphany also, but this year the tree was rather dry and we decided to take it down sooner. By the time we went to look for a tree the whole town was practically devoid of Christmas trees to buy there were two skinny trees left at Menards and we bought one of them. I’ve been calling it a double-headed dog in drag, but upon closer inspection I see that although there are only 4 feet and a dog usually has 4 feet, so two dogs should have 8 feet, there are four of what one could call hands, this one in front fairly easy to spot, but others that are harder to see, in at least one case barely visible under the glaze. And since those hands would be front feet for an anthropomorphic dog, I suppose there are probably two dogs. The bank IS going to the thrift store eventually, but I’m giving it a few more photo ops before it goes away.
