Valentine and Orson, the amazing double-headed dog (in drag)

This little coin bank was, at one point a contender in the “Battle of the Banks.” Back when I worked in the English Department office, I held the BOTB to raise awareness (and a little bit of cash) for the United Way. But Valentine/Orson was a late comer, only a one year participant. The main contenders were Porc Cousteau and Later Gator.

A while back I decided I could do without V&O and after I photograph to my satisfaction, I’ll give to the Budget Shop thrift store, so it can find a good home with someone else. The name “Valentine and Orson” was a nod to a retired professor who, as I recall, had made a study of classic literary treatments of that story. I called it a “double-headed dog in drag” because, although it seems to be intended to be two dogs, a boy and a girl, there are only four feet, which leads me to the one dog with two heads theory.

For my get pushed challenge — either high key or low key. I obviously chose the latter.
@chejja Here’s my response to your challenge. Posting, as I do too often, at the very end of the week.

What a fun story for these strange dogs. With one more head it could guard the Philosophers stone
