Tim challenged me to “to take a favorite object and give it a tour of someplace. Include the object in every photo“ like he did with the nutcracker last year. I thought about taking a dinosaur, particularly the triceratops twin sister. I thought she and I could have a girls’ week. But if I singled out any one of the dinosaurs, they would all want to go on tour! In point of fact, they are all put out with me because I’ve neglected them so seriously. It had been a long time since I had a photo shoot with any dinosaurs. Looking back I was horrified to see that the last I did with any dinosaur was last spring when we did the Dino comics together. Since then it’s been pigs, the fork, etc.— no dinosaurs.
As I was putting up the nativity set, I pulled out a couple of bags from the bottom of the box labeled “extra pieces.” Our nativity set is a combination of what used to belong to my folks and what Frank inherited from his mom & dad. I have a spare Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus—and FIVE extra Wise Men. I decided to treat those five to a group tour. Of course it was WEDNESDAY before I made that choice, so we’re playing catch up.
