The Thursday pig rolling group celebrated Jackie’s birthday. Naturally there was cake. My pigs, Mochyn and Maiale, were pretty excited when they saw it. I had to break the news to them that only the cupcakes were for the birthday celebration. What was in the square pan was going to church for a funeral dinner. AND there were only six cupcakes, with a potential for seven people at the Pigmania/Pass the Pigs game. If all seven of us showed up, our cupcake would graciously go to someone else and we’d find another treat later. No argument or discussion!
As it turned out there were only six of us there, plus I’d forgotten that Kathy doesn’t like chocolate (no accounting for taste!) and another was counting calories. M & M were so relieved. Honestly, though, I think if I had given them the choice between having cake, and being able to compete in a friendly game with all their other pig friends, they’d forgo the cake and choose the fun. I would, even as much as I LOVE chocolate! Happy Birthday, Jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond !!
@wakelys No, not a leaning jowler. Maiale is doing a snouter. She was showboating and started doing it facing inward. I thought a snouter on that downward facing slope was a little risky, so I got her to turn around the other direction. I didn’t want a pig careening down into the cupcakes.
@randystreat The cake was dark, indeed—just the way I like it. I think the box said “Chocolate Fudge.” The icing I bought was milk chocolate variety, in deference to Frank’s preference. I’m sure he’d rather the cake was too, but he scarfed down the cupcakes anyway. Never underestimate pigs’ intelligence. I’m sure they know the difference between cake and mud! 🤣 Still they do like a good roll in the stuff. Please don’t put the idea in their heads, for heaven’s sake, or they’ll be begging to go outside to play every time it rains.
