My get pushed challenge from Rachel Withey @rachelwithey was to experiment with the macro setting on my camera. So I've been taking photos of flowers and other things close up. This is a part of the decoration on wide ribbon in Hobby Lobby. I had a hard time getting a focus on the red sequined detail -- I'm wondering if it was the fact that they were so shiny...? I would get a bunch of bokeh or fuzzy focus -- while the flatter features were clearer and sharper.
@rachelwithey Here is one of the macro shots I've taken so far. And I forgot that I should tag you on the daffodil shot I posted yesterday on my main 365 album.
I wonder if it's just that the red was closer to the camera and in fact too close to focus on. I'm about as far from being an expert on macro as you can get though so I could well be wrong. I love the colours in this.
