It wasn't actually nail polish. It was sparkly makeup that I had let the dinosaurs use a full year ago to make a rainbow on paper from their colored footprints. If that doesn't make sense, here's the rainbow picture. http://365project.org/mcsiegle/365/2015-04-04
But when we had finished the more recent photo shoot with the Triceratops brother performing a Houdini-like escape from a tank of water, as I was drying him off I spotted the remnants of the pinkish makeup and we had a good laugh. Well, HE didn't have a good laugh, but his sister and I did. I picked him up to get a closeup of it and he was squirming around and fighting me. I was lucky to get one clear close picture. You can see in the bottom panel how he scrambled away out of frame as soon as I put him down. You can also see by the look on his face how very pissed off he was at me. He cooled off after a while and he and his sister made up and promptly turned back to being the mischief-making, pain in the rear pair they are a big percentage of the time.
It was this incident, though, that gave the Triceratops sister and me the idea of having a girl's afternoon where we two would paint our nails, try on girl stuff, and treat ourselves to sweets.
Surely all little brothers have ended up having their nails painted by their big sisters? Love the narrative & the pissed off look on his face is great.
