Goodbye Memorial Day plant

So...the last of the multiple things I'm posting today inspired by Sarah Marino and tagging for the artist challenge and my get pushed challenge, which was to join in the artist challenge. A tsunami of images. Sincere apologies to those who follow me for clogging up their feed. After a number of days of just being busy and not taking much in the way of photos, I suddenly took a good look at Sarah Marino's portfolio and got inspired by her work.

Two poor neglected root-bound plants in pots finally needed to go back to the earth. They started out in artful plant arrangements that I'd bought and put at the cemetery over Memorial Day and then brought home. I've had them on the back stoop and attrition whittled the arrangements down to two of the same plant (name of which I don't know) I put them on the compost pile yesterday. Here are the roots of one of them, converted to black and white.

Converting them to black-and-white has created a beautiful abstract art piece

Lots of texture.
