Yes, today is Frankenstein Day...(a.k.a. Frankenstein Friday),
It was created to celebrate Mary Shelley (born August 30th, 1797) and her famous 1818 novel “Frankenstein” (also named “The Modern Prometheus”).
Her creation spawned an entire genre, countless movie adaptations, and widespread recognition.
She would go on to change the landscape of Science-Fiction and Horror for future storytelling. Mary Shelley passed away on February 1, 1851 at the age of 53.
