Okay, I know I said I would try and upload a photo today that was actually taken today. Unfortunately, all I've done today is sit in front of my laptop and do homework. I highly doubt anyone wants to see that, so here is another photo from the 10th.
Editing consisted of Picnik's auto fix and crop. I know the crop is off since it cut off the feet of the duck in the foreground. There was a duck there that I felt looked out of place,so I wanted to edit him out.
Cute shot of a cute pair of duckies:) I wouldn't have noticed the crop thingy if you hadn't mentioned it, and I still don't think it looks off. Good luck with the homework!
Puffed up chests there.... I like the poses. The cropped feet is not that bad actually, but yeah I'd prefer to see them in the picture. Talking about feet, that other duck seems to missing one ?! I think I would've cropped also the top off and fill the frame just with the ducks.

I knew you would have preferred the feet, which is why I mentioned it. I didn't realize the other duck was missing a leg until I posted. Don't know what to tell you about that one because I didn't edit it out.
If I had had cropped off the top and just left the ducks, there would have been no negative space. I thought negative space is good? You confuse me Mr. Maki.
@mej2011 The negative space needs a reason for being in there. It's not automatically a good thing. In this case, I feel the space above doesn't add any context to pic or emphasize any aspect etc. The "flow" in this shot is IMO from left to right (because the ducks face that way) and maybe the negative space on the right would work, some space for the ducks to walk into... do I make any sense ? :-)
