I'm under the weather today, and as a result I'm not in the mood to think psychologically.
Anyways, this is part of a bird feeder that is made out of plastic. I noticed the rain drops on it and thought it would make an okay picture. Editing consisted of Pixlr's Aladin effect. I think Pixlr will become my new best friend. I also cropped the photo slightly. I may edit this description tomorrow when my head is more clear and I can explain this object in the proper manner.
Pixlr is the greatest free online photo editor, I'm so glad you found it! I love the framing of the photo but you always have such a hard time with the focus :( I wonder why that is? I'm also sorry you're under the weather. Get better Mel!!!
@jasonbarnette
Oh my word!!!! Jason Barnette is looking at one of my pictures! Is the world coming to an end? KIDDING!
Pixlr is the greatest? Better than picnik? Why?
I have no idea about the focus. Again, I didn't think this was bad.
@mej2011 Hey...I would've been back sooner if you hadn't been a smartass the other day about me commenting on photos! I am back so be happpppppy! :D
Pixlr is the best because it allows you to work in layers. They also have more fine-tuning options. Pixlr is to Photoshop what Picnik is to Lightroom. Photoshop allows fine-tuning and layers, Lightroom is all about presets and a computer telling you how to autofix your photos.
As for the focus...take your original photo, blow it up to 100% on your monitor, look at those drops and tell me they are sharp. The focus needs work. It almost looks like your focus is on the tree branch in the upper-right corner.
@jasonbarnette
The other day? I haven't talked to you in days, so what are you talking about?????????????
Did I mention that I hate layers? Jani used a layer in one of his pics the other day from pixlr and I can't figure out how he did it. I'll keep working on it. I just discovered it a few days ago.
Now that I looked at the tree branch, I see what you're saying. I honestly have no idea why that happened the way it did.
@mej2011 I don't know! It was some comment I think ...somewhere...about me not commenting on photos anymore! I finally got the book finished and mailed and now my brother is sick so yeah. Stuffs.
Focusing is very difficult. I don't know if you can lock focus and reframe with your bridge camera. When you have a variety of objects in the same frame, the camera will often focus on the largest and most prominent. This can lead to focusing issues which is why I sometimes use manual focus. You'll get it though...just keep learning your camera better!
Interesting shot, I like the flow from top to bottom. Maybe I would've composed the drops quite low to get more of the string holding the plastic thingy into shot. So, you added the Aladin color effect in Pixlr. The layers are in the next phase, just click that meter thingy in the bottom. I think the layer I added was some "bonus" layer which needs to be added separately.
@jasonbarnette - I'd be careful if the Psychology Student says to take her seriously. I've watch Silence of the Lambs and I know all about the Prid Pro Quo style of interrogation.
@mej2011 - prik sod phad is a super hot stir fry dish from Thailand that is what I first thought of. Sometimes containing nearly 2 dozen of the fiery bird's eye or rat poo chile, this dish can cramp even the toughest of hard core chile lover.
@mej2011 - bird's eye chile are fiery little fellows that grow upwards towards the sky and are maybe not even one inch in length. Very hot to the tongue!

Thanks so much Peter and Sheila! Really appreciate it!
Thanks Justin!

Why have you not learned by now not to take me seriously? Hope your brother recovers soon.
I don't know if I can lock focus and reframe on my camera either. lol.
Unfortunately, there are leaves and branches in the way of the string, so not much could really be done to get more of it in the shot.
Yes.
Good. :)
Thanks so much Kasey!
Thanks! I like the drops, they're sparkly. lol. And no, that is my medicine talking. :)
Quid Pro Quo?
You're making up all sorts of things I guess today.
bird's eye chile?
Are you two enjoying the hijacking of my photo?
That's probably an insult, but I"m really too tired to care.
