Triskaidekaphobia by mej2011

Triskaidekaphobia

Also known as Paraskevidekatriaphobia, also known as Friggatriskaidekaphobia is a fear of Friday the 13th.

I meant to do this photo yesterday, on the actual Friday the 13th. Then I decided that resting was a better idea. Oh well, better late than never.
To get this shot, I took pictures of the calendars for January, April, and July as those three months all have Friday the 13ths this year. Then I went into Photscape and did different distort effects to each one (sorry, I don't remember which ones I used for what). Then I went to Picnik made a collage and added an overlay tint.
Now, I am off to figure something out for today.
incredible -phobia and construction of montage

I'm learning a lot about fear from you. Is that a good thing? I like your montage.

Nice work with this shot. I might have a few beers watching the cricket later today and then and only then will I try to pronounce the title.

@bobfoto
Thank! Watching the cricket? Like Jimminy Cricket?
January 15th, 2012
@mej2011 - yes... yes, just like Jimminy Cricket. No no not at all Miss Melissa. Cricket is a gentleman's game played by gentlemen where one man runs up 6 times and throws in a rounded o'erarm action, a ball of cork, string and leather at a man 23yards away who swings with an air and grace, a bat made of willow. He shall strike the ball and his aim is to hit the ball to the boundary and take off for a bit of running between wickets while other men dressed in white with neckerchiefs and caps try to catch the ball and throw it back at the wickets in order to run the chap out. Today is Day 3 of a match between gentlemen from India and some fine outstanding chaps from Australia. Hoo-Rah!

Dude, give me some credit. I was kidding. I've heard of the game cricket. Although I could surely imagine you watching a cricket bug for enjoyment as well.

@mej2011 - I knew you were just taking the piss. But I do not get the chance very often to wax lyrically about the splendour that is the sound of leather upon willow!

@bobfoto
taking the what?????????
January 15th, 2012
love it!
January 15th, 2012
@mej2011 - hee hee hee.... its an Australian slang term. Its like when someone is taking the mickey or stirring someone up by making fun of something they say, like when Americans say to me "Go on, say "throw another shrimp on the barbie"". I mean, they're just taking the piss.

Sweet collage and edits. You've really captured the feeling of a mind gone slightly askew here. Excellent.
Also thanks to @bobfoto for the brief rundown on cricket. It's a mystery to us Canadians:)

@pwallis - Canadians are a mystery to us. ;)

you made up those phobias, right ? Anyway, I think you did a great job with this one. Very creative!

@janmaki
Why would I make up phobias? lol. Nope, unfortunately, they can all be documented as actual phobias. Thanks!
