New Flowers For The Honeyeaters _DSC9856

Our flax plant is still sending up flower spikes, which is great because the birds love them. This is a new lot of flowers almost ready to open. I like the late afternoon light shining through it.
Amazing shapes - looking forward to the honeyeaters too!

@peterlgrave Thanks Peter, the flower looks nothing like that when it is open. I posted a shot on 31 December, that shows the individual flower. The grow on a multi branched spike and are interesting but not particularly attractive, but the honeyeaters love them.
