Monarch Magic _DSC9999

This Monarch butterfly was sitting on the outdoor blinds. I tried getting a couple of shots, but the light wasn't good enough. I was really surprised that it sat on my finger and stayed there while I shot off a couple of one handed macros. Considering the circumstances, I'm really pleased with the result.
It is our 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, so tomorrow, we are heading to Broome for four days and I may not keep up with viewing and commenting.
Fabulous shot, how lovely that it landed on your finger. Happy Anniversary, have a lovely trip.

@deborah63 Thanks Debbie, they usually fly away from too. This one seemed to by caught up in the blind, so I put my finger under it and it stayed there until I walked into the garden. Luckily I was holding my camera in the other hand :)
