Arckaringa Hills, Painted Desert

Day 12 Coober Pedy to Cadney Homestead

We needed some repairs to the suspension on the camper but could only get a temporary fix in Coober Pedy. Rather than risk doing any permanent damage, we've decided to give Oodnadatta a miss, stay on the bitumen and head for Alice Springs, were we can get the correct parts. Cadney Homestead is only 150 kms from Coober Pedy. We made an early stop here, so they we could leave the camper and head out on the 4wd track, through the painted desert. The track was a bit rough in places, but the scenery and colours were fabulous. The countryside was quite green as a result of the recent rains.
Beautiful
