Went down to the Arkansas River today looking for something different - hoped to get some heron in flight. There were about 6 on the bank spread out, but nothing could get them to take to the air. This guy finally flew about 6 feet off the water and landed quickly again. Guess even they thought it was too hot to exert much energy.
It certainly looks very hot there!
