This Meadowlark was wandering around in the field - would not turn so I could get his pretty yellow tummy, but liked it anyway.
Yeah, I don't know what's the matter with those little critters that they make our lives so miserable! Ha,ha...I totally feel your pain but your shot turned out very well, love his tail feathers you don't get to see them very often from this angle. Meadowlarks are so pretty and real photogenic! FAV

@skskunky I agree with you about the tail - think this is the first shot where I'd ever noticed his tail and it was the first thing I did notice. Kind of a stubby tail for a big bird.

What an excellent close up of this bird! It amazes me how close you are able to get to so many of your bird-visitors. They must sense a genuine soul in you. :)
