I live across that river and about a mile west - no damage. But when I drove over to the Corps of Engineers Park there was significant damage. Fortunately, just tree damage - lots up-rooted and one camping trailer moved off its blocks - some debris. One of my daughter's preschool students lost their home - totally destroyed - but all of them were ok. Hitting too close.
Praying folks will rally around those who've suffered a great loss just before Christmas and glad to know the damage is lighter by you. Boy do I understand uprooted trees! We have lost 100's in this area from the last two hurricanes that blew through. This picture is a familiar sight!
I was watching the satellite images of that storm system move through the midwest, hoping my friend in AR are staying safe. Your photo is a good reminder of why we should all respect the power of the weather.
Wow, guess there must have been some pretty strong winds, or tornadoes. It was amazing what that last hurricane did outside of Tallahassee. Might have mentioned already, but you just don't forget the scene, once you've seen it. Large fields of trees just all snapped off like that. Glad you didn't get any damage where you lived.
