Version 2 - Rotated - Thanks, Richard Brown

At the suggestion of Richard, @rjb71, I rotated my wasp 90 degrees - love him heading into the clouds.
Looks positively alien :)

Great capture - so detailed and the light brings out the form of the insect and gives a three-dimensional impression. The colour contrasts of the insect's red/orange body and the blue sky add impact too.

I was given a similar piece of advice about using a horizontal presentation over a vertical one and there's no doubt that, where appropriate (e.g. you wouldn't end up with things like chains that were hanging down, 'hanging' horizontally!) it makes for greater impact.
