Marigolds by mittens

Marigolds

Taken at a garden center. It's probably too early to buy and plant them, though.
Definitely a little early in your area. Looks as though you have more cold weather in the forecast.

Certainly too cold here to plant today! Marigolds always add great color to a garden.

Beautiful - but they tend to sell them a lot too early in these garden centres here too

Beautiful flowers and capture.

Beautiful. Marigolds always remind me of my auntie. for some reason it was the only flower she ever planted in her garden. She was slightly eccentric, ha ha.

I adore the smell and sight of marigolds - gorgeous plants. I don't know what it is like in Pennslyvania, but here in England they try to force all the plants for the Easter weekend as it is traditionally a gardening weekend. It was way too cold and wet so lots of the garden centres are in trouble now! I think it's only really safe to plant out bedding in mid to late May here after the frosts have passed.

Beautiful shot. This Spring I had one-third of my garden planted with marigolds and they made a great spectacle. They are still blooming at the moment, though not as much as a month ago.

I love marigolds but so do the slugs so I can't have them in my garden!
