Thanks
@jo13 @cathieg @northy @kerosene @pusspup for the kind response on the picture of Saturday 08-06. As you wondered, how I achieved the effect, I happily try to explain. Please do not hesitate to ask, if something is not clear. (As you know English is not my first language, so I let pictures tell the story.)
@northy Yes, I did read some explanations in the internet, especially about globes. But I wanted to do something different and not seen so often, and my learning curve in the end is sometimes better, if I have my own trials and ERRORS.

What you need:
- Hula Hoop Ring. I used a weighted hula hoop with soft rubber foam padding. (Just what I have had on hand). The weight and the soft rubber foam helped that the hoop did not jump so much at every unevenness on the road. It is more or less stable, but it gets really fast and builds up speed after a few meters. That’s why I was running so much.
- Battery operated LED Pin light chain (I bought this one, at last Christmas sale, for about 4 CHF (3 US$). Means the 1.5V batteries are the most expensive stuff)
- Black Duct tape, or similar.
- Tripod
- (cable or remote trigger)
Just assemble like on the picture.
Letting the hoop roll (like rhythmic gymnasts do for example) gives the regular effect shown in the picture. I cross processed the colours of the lights in the posted picture, to match the sky better and to get rid of this eye-pain green.
Idea: Placing the pin LED on the outer side, would make a great lightshow hula hooping with it. Maybe next time.

What you need:
Plastic plant pot saucer (or whatever this is called in Englisch). 35cm diameter. Or something else that you can turn into a wheel, in the internet they us a bike wheel, which for me was not so convenient. I used this saucer as cheap alternative.
- Battery operated LED Pin light chain
- Hot glue (the Duct Tape did nost stick properly on the plastic, so I glued the light chain
- Black Duct tape (or similar)
- threaded rod 12cm
- Matching nut
- Matching washer (I have no idea, why this thing is called washer in English??? Learning something new every day)
- Tripod
- (cable or remote trigger)
Just assemble
Turning this wheel slowly on place, gives the “dome” effect.
The exifs you can check in the original pictures.
Hope this helps. Have fun doing some light shows and please tag me, if you post any.
