What to do better the next time!
a) Try to convince my hubby to join me.
It would help, getting the focus easier, not having to run after the light source so much, and it would be less creepy all alone in a dark street. (Not sure what I was afraid of, probably that people would call the police, that there is a crazy person, doing some crazy things).
b) Choose a street with a less steep gradient. (See above, about the running after the light source. For sure I did my cardio today).
c) Checking twice if the locations attraction (little chapel) is illuminated that night.
… the list goes on, and on, and on.
As I anticipated that this session would give questionable results, I took an easy food shot in the afternoon as backup. And as I like to share my sweets with you, you can find it here. http://365project.org/mona65/2015-plan-b-alb/2016-08-06
Cute tags... Congrats on your adventurous spirit and cardio health! Beautiful symmetry against the blue hour setting sun. Hands clapping for your experiment. :)
this is really cool... amazing what you accomplished on your own!
did you look online for some ideas for this concept? i only thought about it because i saw a news article on this recently (related to the olympics)... can't find it now but it was really cool too... and YES - your hubby should help!
Love that you have shot when the sky is still blue. Great effects and love that you have found your way through the limitations you were working with to produce a cool shot.
You probably know this, but if you had a powerful torch with you and the chapel is not too big you can light paint it & then combine as many shots as you need in a (free) program called Star StaX. Makes it easier if you are working solo or someone switched off the lights!
Thank you for sharing the info on how you did it. Have been looking at how these shots are done for a while and this might be the push I needed to give it a try.
@lizhammond Thank you Liz. I have known about the torch, but honestly I would have not have had the courage to use it. This place is still in distance of some farms and houses, and I'm pretty sure the would have called the police, that some suspicious suspects are around. We have a lot of twiglight burglary here, especially in holiday time. And I'm a coward, when it comes to such things. The programm I did not know, and I'm gladly check this out, for other things.
