One more (I promise the last one) focus stacking attempt, selectively used. In focus a nice, soft cream coloured, spider gerbera.
Interesting for me: Gerbera is the fifth most used cut flower in the world (after rose, carnation, chrysanthemum and tulip). Thousands of cultivars exist and they vary greatly in shape, colour and size.
This came out really well... nicely done. A gorgeous shot. You should tag it "technique50" for the focus-stacking challenge running right now. This is a wonderful example of the technique.
@emrob@rosiekerr Thanks Mandy and Rosie. It's very kind of you both and I appreciate it very much, that you see this good enough, to submit it for the challenge. I really enjoyed the technique of stacking and am very grateful to you Mandy, that you brought this up and explained it so well. I finally tried something lingering on my bucket list, for quite some time. Sadly, my 365 project ends in a few days and at the moment it will not be possible for me to continue and participate actively. For this reason I think it's not fair play to the other participants, if I would tag a picture of mine. I'm sure you understand that. Still, thank you very much for your encouragement.
@mona65 I completely understand! I am sorry to hear you won't be continuing on 365, but maybe in the future you'll be able to come back. Really great work with the technique, though! Thank you so much for trying it out and demonstrating such great use of it.
@mona65 Oh, that makes complete sense... very nice of you. :) Sorry you won't be hanging around after your project is done, but maybe you'll be back in the future? I have found that some days I have time to comment, other days, not so much... I just try to be gentle with myself on that point. This really is a lovely shot.
Very well done and the light on the gerbera is beautiful.
I do hope you'll consider posting when you can after you finish your 365, it would be lovely to see more of your work.
This is beautifully done, extremely competent and very artistic! I am so glad you were able to try out this technique, and I am sorry to hear that you will be leaving this site shortly, even though I intend to do the same at the end of the year. However, your account will remain active (should you want to), and it is always good to visit here occasionally. If you tag it others will be able to view it and see the results of that exercise... Oh, and FAV!
Sorry to read you are leaving the site. This is such an outstanding image and such a perfect use of focus stacking. What a phenomenal result!! Congrats on TT! Add another fav from me.
Congratulations on TT, Mona....as I have said before this is a superb capture, both artistically and technically! I hope you are enjoying the spirit of the season, and have managed to put some of your worries behind for the time being! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I do hope you'll consider posting when you can after you finish your 365, it would be lovely to see more of your work.
