A wonderful october day today. Not the best photo, but a good memory for a great day in the mountains. Before the weather changes and the first snow falls, I had to go and climb a rock. Today it was the "Grosse Mythen" that offers a glorious 360° view from the top. Here you can see the little town Schwyz and part of the Lake Lucerne, and in the back the alps. In dry weather is not a difficult mountain to climb,...when you are not afraid of heights. The track is steep and exposed, but does only require mountain equipment, a good fitness and as mentioned you should not fear the heights. Her is a link to an older of my pictures from across the lake. The "Grosse Mythen" is the peak on the right. http://365project.org/mona65/2015-plan-b-alb/2016-07-18 . And this is one I took a while ago in winter. Here you can even see the zig zag of the trail that lead to the top. http://365project.org/mona65/365/2015-12-13 Have a nice weekend.
Wow, what a spectacular view. Very much worth the climb. When I was a teenager I worked summers in Lassen National Park and we had t-shirts that said “I climbed the Rock”.
