This is St Vincent, the patron saint of my city. Masks are compulsory here, so somebody decided that public statues should also wear one - and then proceeded to put masks on practically all statues in the city; all famous or representative statues are masked right now. It must have been quite a hard job, especially with statues on high pedestals like this one.

The only exceptions are when doing sport (because you need to be able to breathe properly), if you have some kind of health problem which could be aggravated by the mask and children under 6 (but many wear them, because they want to emulate older people).
