Canes

These canes are invasive. They where cut at soil level in the spring, but roots were not disturbed, so that's how they are now. Epic fail.

They look a bit like bamboo which is also invasive. I think you have to pull out the roots

@fishers They can, but you have to pull out the roots, and make sure there is none left, or they grow back. It is usually done two or three times in a row, to make sure every one is out, but these were not - I don't know if the owner didn't know, or was just lazy - or cheap.
