I like the contrasts and the shapes, but mainly the colours : the change of tone in the upper part and the pipe to create some asymmetry.

Nice image. Is it a window that was bricked up to avoid the window tax in the 1800s or more recent to keep people out?. It looks like an old building.

Fabulous framing capture. Such an interesting window, with a story to tell for sure. I wonder why they didn’t just paint over the frame.

@sugarmuser It was for tax reasons and this was the back of a very old manor. This whole village is full of bricked up apertures.
