The chickens have been a happy lot! Really they have... and cheeky too. Today, I went down into the garden to clean up the yard with the rake and thought to check on the laying box; well! I found 2 eggs there already; and it was only 9am! Wow! Good little chickens; and happy too! :D

@digitalrn Oh... they are. This arvo, one of them began sneezing really hard and shaking her head. So, I chased her up and found she had dirt crammed in her little nostril; so I got my nail in there and picked it out for her... poor little thing.
When I learned to read a long time ago, we had very few books. One was about keeping chickens even if we had none. I read the book when I was 7 or 8. I read a big 2-volume gardening book too.
