This kitty is different from the other one because it's not pink but white, has smiling eyes and whiskers. The paws are extra large because I think they're cute that way! (If you imagine her without the ears, she probably looks like an octopus!) She is as tiny as the other cat, being only 2cm (0.8in) long. I made both cats from polymer clay.
It's been a long time since I last played with clay but I always keep a few blocks in the drawer for when inspiration hits. Too many hobbies, too little time! What hobby do you have, that you have put on the back burner for a long time now?
I put my hand to all kinds of things. As I say jack of all trades, master of none. I like clay too and have had a go at polymer - you make me want to try again. I'd like to learn to draw better, and thought about taking a beginner's watercolours class.
My hobby other than photography is my animals. I've errm.... hold on.... just got to count on my fingers .... yep, 22. So they keep me pretty busy as I try to give quality time to all of them. They give me my inner peace.
Adorable little cat-in-a-box :D Such a pleasant expression! The only hobby I have time for is photography...it seems to be a pretty time consuming one ;)
Cute cat! My 3 (real) cats love playing in boxes too!
Hobbies on the back burner? Well, polymer clay now you come to mention, and then there's the 3 storage boxes of knitting in various stages of completion, dressmaking similar and now I'm doing a City and Guilds embroidery course as well as 365.....
Your little cat is beautifully made, and as skilfully photographed as always,
Nice shot! You made this? Very cool. I am afraid I am a bit of a dilettante, a bit of sculpting, a bit of carpentry, a bit of music, a bit of..... Photography is the only one I put much effort into, and even that not enough.
Very cute shot with great negative space - you do that quite well. I do love your minimalist photos as I am a fan of that esthetic. My hobby now is 365 - seems to have taken over my life leaving no time for my other hobby (shopping, haha!) but I guess that's a good thing.
your wee cats are simple and great! fun to see this one and the little pink one.
i do not know which one i like better.
thanks for sharing your talent.
you are so creative; the cat and the photo are adorable - I was just thinking this morning that my watercolors are really suffering because of how much time I put into my 365 project - it's really rewarding but the time/energy has to come from somewhere . . . One of the fascinating things about life - that it is contained in time.
Beautifully done, Livia. I've always said that you're a true artist. This is perfection. Photography is on my front burner . . I have taken classes in watercolor and would go back to that if I had time. It totally relaxes me. TOTALLY!
A big, loud, noisy "THANK YOU!" to everyone. I'm grateful that you have taken the time to visit and leave a comment. I had great fun reading about your hobbies! Thank you so much!
I know I am late in posting this but I love your composition. A great hobby too. I love to make poems about things in my life and illustrate them with photos or clip art. 365 has taken over somewhat at the moment!

My hobby-on-hold would be reading. I have piles of unread books all over the house.
