This is a species of kalanchoe, a succulent plant. It reproduces by growing little plantlets around the edge of its leaves. No boyfriend, no stork, no nursery required!
Oh, Livia, this is beautiful! I so used to have a green thumb and one of these plants. Great shot of these little ones! Thank you for bringing back some fond memories for me! Love it!
Wow!! That is an awesome picture you took there!! So well focused and the greens are so pretty!! I've never seen this plant before but it is very interesting! FAV
Great macro! Love the details of the little plants and their delicate white roots poised in the air.
I had a kalanchoe once and it shed its babies everywhere - they were popping up in pots all over the place....
Plants that do this are so interesting although life might be a bit boring with no boyfriend, no stork and no nursery at least they have dirt to keep them company. Great shot.
fave - terrific colour and clarity, and great find. True they don't need help with reproduction - but imagine having to feed and live with all those kids!
A great, big, baby-inspired "THANK YOU!" to everyone!
I am very thankful for your time and visit. It makes my day to read your comments. So glad you've enjoyed seeing this unusual plant and its little baby plantlets.
Great capture
