For the last spoon shot, I wanted to get as close as I could and this is it. The photo has been rotated because I think it looks more funny this way. 8)
I am craving some macro shots. There are so many subjects I have not photographed yet and I do hope I will have the opportunity to do it. Among them are insects, snails, caterpillars. (Yikes. Unlike flowers, they all move! 8P ) I'll do spiders if they're not too scary looking. 8D
What a neat result on this! I love it. Since it is near Easter, at first I thought the one on right was an Easter egg, but I am assuming that is the spoon and the left is the flat paper? Nice! And don't be afraid of spiders...I get near them all the time....no "accidents" or "bug dances" yet!
Love you spoon shots. It`s very creative and nearly to abstract as mine.
Indeed the trouble with insects , they don`t pose for you . Spiders do . I`ve done some ( See if you have time ) my previuos
Amazing capture, Livia! I think you are an artist! The angle of your reflection makes it looks like a fabulous Easter egg! Love the zig zag design. Great work of art!
can i tell you it looks like something else to me? :-)) no, i probably shouldn't. i tried doing a shot like this last night. epic fail. this is great, livia.
@darsphotos Place the spoon on any piece of paper with a pattern that you want a reflection of on the underside of the bowl of the spoon, and focus on that reflection (on the underside of the spoon). That is, you need to look at the space between the paper and the underside of the spoon. Hope I'm making sense here. 8)
@myautofocuslife Livia, my spoons do not have much curve to them when I place them down, like you would when setting a table, with the bottom touching the napkin. Do you raise the level up that you see so you can photograph it? Thank you for your help and patience.
@darsphotos You could try raising your spoon but you'll have to make sure the paper is really close, if not actually touching the spoon, or you won't be able to get a reflection of it. I didn't raise the spoon but I had to place my camera really close—right on the paper—to take a shot. Try using a ladle if it isn't working for you with a spoon. 8)
@myautofocuslife Thank you for more information, Livia. I will try using a ladle as my spoons are pretty flat, though my ladle is pewter and not shiny. May have to invest in a cheap one to play with. Appreciate the help.
A great, big, zig-zaggy, fresh and bright "THANK YOU!" to all!
I know everyone's got a busy schedule and I appreciate that you've taken some time out of it to stop by. Thank you so much! I had fun with these spoon shots. 8)
