These are the little, pretty pink flowers of the Coral Vine. But did you know that it has many other names? Just to name a few: Chain of Love, Desert Bleeding Heart, Chinese Love Vine, Confederate Vine, Queen's Wreath, Flor de San Diego, Mexican Creeper, Honolulu Creeper, Coral Creeper, Christmas Island Crawler, Mountain Rose and Rose of Montana!
Hmmm. If I had other names, it'd be Gloom, Doom and I-Need-That-Off-Switch-For-My-Brain-Already! 8D
@humphreyhippo Haha. It's precisely because I'm such a gloomy person that I'm always looking at things that are bright, colorful and happy! After all, if I wanted gloom and doom, all I need to do is look in the mirror. 8D Also the reason why I smile so much online. Because I rarely smile in real life. 8D
It is beautiful. And I hear you, I am most determinedly cheerful online when my own depression would be most overwhelming. It is a struggle to find reasons to smile At times and that is the time I look for beauty and never turn on the news
Great capture. Love the dof and color. Like the way the petals form on this. Yesterday at the zoo I captured a nice vine plant that was hiding in an unused, off to the side section. The pedals looked like pink hearts. As much as I wanted to post it, I went with the gigantic carnivore. Lol
I'm not so sure about this doom and gloom Livia. You make me smile every day 8)
When are you going to throw yourself off the deep end and give us a selfie?
Another beauiful flower portrait from you. Lovely focus. Your other name would be creative and interesting. Gloom and doom people rarely see the beautiful things in life that you do.
Love your commentary. If I had another name this weekend, it would be dopey, or sleepy. Loving the couple of days at the week's end. I think I know this flower as chain of hearts.
Love your photo ... gorgeous soft color and beautiful pov. I escape my world of doom and gloom on here and behind the camera. My camera takes me to my world of fantasy and "anything is possible!" I set no limits on myself. In real life, I do. We're twins, Livia.
Such a perfect flower shot - awesome colors, wonderful focus! As some people suggested your list of alternative names would be much longer and more beautiful than just Gloom, Doom etc... but I like your creativity :-D.
Do not believe that you are Doom or Gloom - you are far too creative for that!
When are you going to throw yourself off the deep end and give us a selfie?
Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I am grateful for your kind and encouraging comments. Thank you!
