Milwaukee River was so much more colorful just a couple months ago but now everything is getting ready to sleep for the winter! I found this spot interesting regardless of the lack of color.
Couple years ago my husband & I took an inflatable kayak during the spring time when the water was much deeper! It was so beautiful, peaceful and COLD! Our boat sprang a leak!. Awesome memories.
@swilde Thank you Sue for the words of encouragement! I look at other photographers & think why try - I'll never be as good as.... but those kind words help me stay motivated.
@kerrinjane@paulaag Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I am very much in the learning stage of photography (especially since I'm somewhat of a newby) so the encouragement helps me more than you know!
I have seen that river... maybe not that exact location, but our daughter just moved from Milwaukee! She lived just on the other side of the freeway from Bayshore. Nice shot, btw... :)
I'm amazed by how much color there is in the photo. When I look at our river it looks so drab. You've shown how many rich tones there really are. Lovely.
@herussell Thank you so much! The colors are there but seem to be hiding! This time of year really looks pretty drab to me. I would prefer this over the white stuff though.
@marilyn Bayshore is a very nice area. I live in West Bend which is 20 miles north of Milwaukee. This river is VERY close to my house - I can walk there to take the shot. Thank you for the comment!
definitely a fav.
