For my Get-Pushed Challenge Nikki challenged me to do a b&w photo without animals or people
@nikkic "Kathy. I have had a look through you Project & you have some great colorful shots. My challenge to you is to capture somthing in b&w that shows me contrast & texture. I will leave it up to you how you interpret this. But no people or animals. Cheers. Look foreard to seeing what you find."
Last get pushed challenge I was suppose to do b&w landscape. I think I need more practice on black & white photography so this is a good challenge for me to continue what I started with the last challenge.
@nikkic Nikki - please let me know what you think. If you have any suggestions don't hesitate since I always welcome them. Thank you for this challenge!
@nikkic In B&W photography, I struggle with getting those rich tones, deep colors that I see in so many shots. Do you have any suggestions on this? Is there certain settings that create better b&w photography?
I think this has good contrast and texture. I did discover recently that my camera has some settings, if I am shooting in black and white, that will up the contrast and sharpness.
Love the subject and textures. My only comment would be that the awesome focus and detail of the left side means my eye tends to stay there and not travel into the picture, but that's a nit picky negative on a lovely shot :-)
BTW - we have a new Camera Settings Challenge! Woo Hoo!
