Almost forgot to take a photo today. My assistant ( my cat Zoe) and I have been making batty jewelry all day.Tomorrow @cindygenn and I are going to a fundraiser for White Nose Syndrome research. The bats of the USA are being decimated by this disease. They are TRULY in danger. And if the bats go..I fear what will happen to humans. The spread of insect borne diseases will rise..for sure. The Batstock event will raise awareness .. and 100 percent of the proceeds from the jewelry I sell there will go to the cause. There will be music, good food, good company and lots of batty fun.:)
Good luck -- this sounds like an important event and area where information needs to be spread. That was a huge problem in Michigan (or maybe Illinois) a few years ago and then suddenly no one is talking about it anymore.
@taffy@friend2303 thank you my friends.Taffy It still is a problem...but since there is no easy answer,I just think they don't find it newsworthy anymore. But WNS is in fact spreading all across the US.Scientists are working feverishly on a cure.
Lol I am looking forward to the event, we'll have a shoot off with our power shot cameras! Love Zoe's title. We know Maggie would put her nose up to the jewelry (diamonds only), Hobbes would be petrified of it and would hide in the back of the closet, Dylan would pounce on it...and Emma would hunt it down and leave it for me as a present!
Sounds like a fun day, and kudos to you for making the jewelry, which looks great, and I'm sure will be snapped up! Adorable shot of your little assistant :-)
Hope the event went well - we have white nose syndrome here too. Bats do a special job for the earth and we can't afford to lose them. Love this pic and do you have any batty jewelry left? I live near a town called Bat cave!
Awesome lighting and perspective. Great that you are doing this for the cause. Glad to know the fundraiser went well. Hoping to see photos of your jewellery someday.
