The Brown Hooded Owlet is one of the most beautiful caterpillars of fall.It looks hand painted! This gorgeous creature feeds on the wild asters in my woodland garden. It will grow up to be a rather plain-Jane looking brown moth.
@linah@ikamera@archaeofrog Thank you so much friends.I really enjoy sharing my love for these creatures . Since I am retired and can't share with children anymore...you guys will have to put up with me.:)
It may be a plain Jane in its next life...but is a beauty as a caterpillar. Lovely capture. I took a picture today of a butterfly and an insect I am hoping you will be able to identify when I post them. You are my go-to expert. :))
wow.... its amazing to see the intricate details on these little creatures in their tiny little bodies ... its as if its a whole unique world that always exists but stays invisible.... BTW ...I am planning to invest in a macro lens maybe in a few weeks and your pics would be one big reason :-)
Great photo love the light and color and detail. I agree with the guys above to you do bring a certain magic to insects. You have definitely inspired me.
