Spent some time stalking this Millipede as he made his way through the clover.These big ( the size of my pinky and twice as long)harmless scavengers were one of my preschool groups favorite classroom visitors.We would collect one and create a terrarium habitat for him.After a week of observation ,we returned him ( very well fed) to the exact spot where we had collected him.
Great title! Unfortunately, these kinds of bugs give me the creeps but, I recognize a great macro shot when I see it. Incredible color, detail and focus!
saw this on which pic of yours is most faved thread... I love the fairyland feel of this! fav The more I have watched these North american Millipedes, the more I realize how they are not really gross like I used to think. They are not slimy. They are fun to watch scuttle around.
