It is week 2 of our book club and the concepts are learning to imagine and learning to express.I chose the word/ safe/safety and imagined photographing one of my garden creatures under a rock or a petal...but then I realized that was not going to really push myself at all.So rather than change the word I tried to imagine a different way to express it.Down to the lake I went.I waited for a sailboat to pass into view.It was a beautiful day and I knew one would come.I look forward to further attempts with more complex and abstract concepts! http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/18868/aug-book-club-week-2
I like this! It's fun trying to get the photo to match the concept, I think. Like thinking of the title first, and then going off to make it work. This is harder than last week's exercises.
Great shot. That is a beautiful life buoy and I like how it is in focus in the foreground of the shot with the boat and background nicely out of focus. The effect is great. You are doing so well in Week 2 - I am finding it a challenge.
@adayinmallacoota thank you so much!Week 2 really us a challenge but that is what I like about it.I am not worrying about how the shot comes out as much as I am about expressing a feeling or concept.Just go for it!Like Katie says..it is not a competition we are all just learning together.:)
