The first time I ever got one posing like this..looking right at me. He is on a wet burned out fireplace log.I think slugs are cute.I know they are garden pests but we used to keep them in a habitat in the preschool classroom. Facinating for the kids to observe! They get really fat in captivity!
Cute? Cuuuuuute? Growing up, I had to battle the slugs to get to the outdoor garbage cans by the garage. I hate them to this day. Blech. But hey, awesome shot! :)

Few days ago I tidied up my little garden and I saw this slug was hiding behind one of my pots and it was the biggest one I've ever seen in my life. Its wide is about four centimetres and about six or seven centimetres long.
Fantastic close up, but errggghhhh gross! We get loads there a constant worry with my dogs! What attracts them Hope & how can we keep them at bay ? :-)
