Effigy

For the Artist Challenge.Inspired by her " Symbols of Ourselves" series. This Buddah is in my garden and my husband was holding the print of a flower I photographed in Cali this last winter behind her head.

"Mari Mahr is known for her black and white images in which she combines 2d prints with 3d objects and rephotographs them, producing surreal and illusory imagery. Her themes are dreams, memory, family relationships, journeys and diaspora"
