Water Source

The water we put out for the birds freezes in minutes...but we keep it up. The birds have been using the icecicles as a water source this year. This European Starling was one of the clever ones.

Beautiful detail! I never thought much about how the birds drink in the winter. We have underground springs so usually there is running water in areas here thankfully.
