This was taken at the Sto. Nino Shrine and Heritage Museum in Tacoban, Leyte. It was built by Former First Lady Imelda Marcos. The first floor is where a chapel is located and on the side are 13 rooms, each with a different theme. The 2nd floor is where you will find probably a tiny part of the humongous collection of Imelda of expensive antiques, artworks, a case load of ivory figurines, rare Russian icons and Chinese porcelain.
What caught my eye was her son's room/office. It has exquisite Louis XIV furniture, Argentinean leather rugs and the wall panels you can see on the picture? Gucci fucking leather. The walls are about 12 feet high and all the walls are covered with it.
The thing is, these rooms are just display pieces. No rooms were ever slept on or worked at. They are simply there to make us drool I reckon.
