Been out for the day with the boys to Etches Park Derby. Etches Park is a railway depot that is celebrating 175 years this year and has been opened to the public for a one off celebration community day. I have never seen so many cameras. Nearly everyone had some major kit hanging round their necks or in their hands. Including our own @seanoneill Now I have to confess to coming home with very few train images. Street photography intrigues and inspires me.....don't get much opportunity for it or the courage most of the time. Today though I was surrounded by so many cameras I just shot away capturing the people around me. The boys loved the trains, I got to sit in the cabin of my favourite train and try my hand at street photography.
@seanoneill hope you enjoyed your day. We enjoyed ours. The boys loved their trip into the HST. I LOVE HST's so was v excited to be in the cabin. Look forward to your shots.
@newbank Thanks Ruth, we stayed for about an hour and 20 mins, and it was good. Quite a few pics, it is always good to get a look behind the scenes, but we weren't interested in queueing for a peep in a cab or anything, so it didn't take a long time. I was home by 12.45. Love bothe of your "street" shots, especially the green dress lady. Fantastic, and well done for being so brave! @taffy Aww schucks, I'm quite a disappointment in real life ;-)
@taffy@newbank Has my twin brother been out behaving well again!! I must have a word with him. I bet he posts some train pics on my project before the night is out! Glad you all had such a great time Ruth. It was really interesting.
Love this Ruth.....I like the low down angle & that your boys aren't taking any notice of you....the chips are the thing here never mind mum ! Perfect black & white capture.
