Having another go at food photography for critique groups theme. This is my tipple of choice, hot chocolate, marshmallows, cream and chocolate sprinkles. I do confess to having this heavenly creation nearly every day. Hubby makes the best crumpets, pancakes and the meanest of mean hot chocolates. If I'm on putting eldest to bed duty I can often hear the ping of the microwave as one is being made for me ready to sit down after a busy day. Yummy!! Just seen this on iPad, so much darker than my laptop processed on. On there the background is purple. What do you see black or purple? Frustrated that on here it looks not so good....

A fav! WOW. Your POV, as @pamknowler said, is fresh and it is stunning against the black background. It makes me wish for one -- I love this as well and for many years, it was the only hot drink I would drink. That changed when someone I was dating in grad school explained I didn't like tea because I didn't know how to drink it. That was the first tea I tried that was a rich black tea with milk in it and I was hooked! But nothing replaces hot chocolate and your take on it could be an advert for a restaurant, coffee house, or magazine!
@taffy Thanks Taffy! Tea is yuk yuk. I'll still with my hot chocolate! Though people do think I'm weird because I don't do tea or coffee. Like I'm alien with a green head....
This is delightful! :) I will admit to liking a good cuppa hot chocolate occasionally. Lately, however, I've been making - and loving - Chai from scratch. Mmmmm...Very yummy!
Hmm, this looks mouth watering. I also only drink hot chocolate, and not coffee or tea. People think it's weird, so I understand where you are coming from. The background looks purple to me, but that does not detract from the shot. This could be used for an ad, it looks so yummy. Fav
