Update: @yorkshirekiwi and I had an early morning start to take some photos for the annual Auckland Photo Day competition, which is part of the Auckland Festival of Photography. Excited to see this has been selected as one of the finalists for the People's Choice award (even though there are about 100 photos in the final, lol!).
(Lost the plot again this month and, for someone studying a Diploma in Photography, I'm not taking many photos at the moment!)
@jon_lip Thanks John. The Diploma is delivered by a polytech in New Zealand called Southern Institute of Technology. It's through distance learning and people in NZ don't have to pay tuition fees, only admin fees. It's taken nearly 3 years and we're on the last bit now. For this part we have to write a business plan for developing a website, create the website and include a cohesive portfolio on it of photos taken between now and September. It's a lot of work but I've learnt loads. I could have learnt everything just through Youtube but doing the Diploma has given a structure to the learning and made me do it because I've had assignment deadlines. I've been lucky to be studying with @yorkshirekiwi - it's been good to share the journey with someone. :)
